My current read is: Murder is Binding I'm only a few chapters in, so I'll be back to report on this one!!!! But so far, so good!!! :)
Ok, finished this book last night and loved it!!!! What a great start to a new series. The setting is incredible, how wonderful for a book lover to live in a town whose main street is made up of used book stores!!!! The mystery aspect was really good as well and I will look forward to reading more books in this series!! :)
Seriously, I can't believe how bad I have been about keeping up here, it's just not right!!!!
I really am going to try my best to keep up here from now on!!!!
Has it really been almost a year since I have posted ANYTHING here!!!!!!!!!!
I highly doubt anyone will even be by to read what I'm writing, but that's ok, it's good to just get it out every once in awhile!!!!!!!!! hahaha
Well, I have read TONS of books since I last posted, but will not bore anyone with the titles. But I will try very hard to continue to post about books I am currently reading!!!! :)
Today I am reading:
I'm hoping to get some serious reading time in tonight and log a bunch of pages!!! :)
I have gotten more into mystery and suspense over the past few months and have kind of kicked chic lit to the curb for awhile. I still really enjoy women's fiction and romance, but chick lit has kind of turned me off lately. Please don't ask why as I have no idea, and I still enjoy the chic lit/mystery type books. Oh well!!!!! ;)
Well, I suppose that's enough for tonight, but I'm going to try reallllllllllllllllly hard to keep up with this!~!!!! :)
I just couldn't get into Your Oasis on Flame Lake right now. It's not that it's not a great book, I do want to read it, I just can't get into it right now!!!!! :(
So I moved on and read a book I can't reveal yet as it's for a swap over on PBS and I haven't revealed it yet. It was pretty good, but I think if it hadn't come on the heels of Bet Me, I probably would have enjoyed it more!!!!
Last night I finished reading Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult. Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! Picoult is a riveting storyteller who never ceases to hold ones interest with her controversial plots. The fact that I have children (albeit small ones right now) I couldn't help but keep thinking about them in the situations of the book. She writes so realisitcally that it was easy to imagine such a thing. Because of this the book had me in tears for a good portion of it, but it also made me more aware of this situation. It's real, it has happened before. Yes, the book is fiction, but the subject matter does not have to be.
Anyway, it just really hit home for me, and I know that I will try my hardest to have my kids be kind and understanding, as much as a mother can. The book truly touched my heart!!!!
I am really enjoying this series by Leslie Meier!!!!! I find the books getting better as I read more of them, and am glad I decided to concentrate on only 2 cozy series at a time!!!! I feel I am getting more out of them, than when I was just reading them randomly!!!! I am finding that I am remembering more about each character and am not having as much trouble remember who's who, and what's what!!!!!
This particular series I really love because Lucy Stone is a hoot, and I really enjoy reading about her and her family. I highly recommend this series!!!!! :)
I always start blogs and then forget to write in them also.. actually, I'm starting to do that already in... read more
